Arduino UNO Q Touch Display: Waveshare's 10.1-Inch Screen
Waveshare's $69.99 UNO-Q-DSI-TOUCH-10.1A plugs straight into the Arduino UNO Q, adding a 10.1-inch touchscreen, speakers and two camera ports.
The Arduino UNO Q has always had more multimedia muscle than its classic UNO footprint suggests, but getting at its MIPI display and camera lanes usually meant buying a carrier board. Waveshare has now released a cleaner answer: the UNO-Q-DSI-TOUCH-10.1A, a 10.1-inch touchscreen that the UNO Q plugs straight into, with speakers, audio jacks and two camera connectors built in. CNX Software spotted the launch on October 31, 2026.
- Display: 10.1-inch IPS, 1280 x 800, capacitive multi-touch, optically bonded toughened glass, 300 nits
- Extras: two 22-pin MIPI CSI camera connectors (IMX219 modules), built-in stereo speakers, two 3.5mm audio jacks, RGB LED
- Price: $69.99 from Waveshare's store, or about $80 on AliExpress; bundles with the UNO Q start around $120
- Compatibility: Arduino UNO Q only; Waveshare says the VENTUNO Q is not supported
How Does the Waveshare Display Connect to the UNO Q?
The UNO Q exposes its display, camera and audio signals through two high-density board-to-board headers, JMEDIA and JMISC. Until now, the usual route was the official Arduino UNO Media Carrier sitting between the board and your peripherals. Waveshare's panel integrates matching connectors on its back, so the single board computer stacks directly onto the display with no adapter board and no hand wiring. You just need to line up the connectors and mind the orientation.
That turns the UNO Q into something close to an all-in-one touchscreen computer. Power still comes over the UNO Q's USB-C port at 5V/3A, with an auxiliary USB-C input on the display carrier, and Waveshare includes a metal backplate. The assembled unit measures 239 x 147 x 19mm before you add the board itself.
Why the Camera and Audio Ports Matter for Maker Projects
A screen alone would be handy. The two IMX219 camera connectors make this more interesting. Waveshare pitches them for stereo vision, multi-angle capture and object tracking, which pairs nicely with the edge AI apps Arduino has been adding to its tooling, like the pose-estimation demo in Arduino App Lab 0.11. Add the built-in speakers and a mic-capable audio jack, and you have the parts for a smart-home control panel, a voice-assisted kiosk or a camera-equipped robot head with almost no extra hardware.
Setup is documented on Waveshare's wiki, including enabling carrier board support in Arduino App Lab. One practical note: the panel is portrait by default, and a software setting rotates it to landscape.
Arduino UNO Q Display vs. the Media Carrier
The official Media Carrier still makes sense if you want to choose your own screen size or also run a VENTUNO Q. But for anyone building a UNO Q project around a 10-inch touchscreen anyway, Waveshare's integrated design frees up the UNO Q's single USB-C port and removes a layer of cabling. That is a real quality-of-life upgrade on a board with very few ports.
At $69.99, it is also a reasonable price for a bonded 10.1-inch IPS panel with cameras and audio included. If you enjoyed the UNO Q arcade bundle, this is the obvious next screen. More SBC accessories are in our mini computers coverage.
