Pack your sandals and sharpen your spear: Titan Quest II finally has a full release date. Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic announced on September 23, 2026, that the Greek mythology action RPG will reach version 1.0 on January 19, 2027, and it is bringing a console debut along for the ride. After nearly a year and a half in PC Early Access, the sequel to the 2006 cult classic is ready to storm Olympus on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S too.

  • Release date: January 19, 2027 for version 1.0
  • Platforms: PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
  • Price: $59.99 or €59.99 on console, $49.99 or €49.99 on PC
  • Early Access: running on PC since August 1, 2025

What Is Titan Quest II?

Think Diablo with a classics degree. Titan Quest II is an action RPG set in a handcrafted ancient Greece, where you fight centaurs, gryphons and cyclopes across a world with real verticality and secrets tucked into its corners. Grimlore, the studio behind SpellForce 3, is developing it, and THQ Nordic is publishing.

The signature feature is the mastery system. Instead of picking a fixed class, you combine two masteries to build your own, which is exactly the kind of mix-and-match buildcrafting that kept the original Titan Quest installed on players' hard drives for two decades.

What Changes in the Titan Quest II 1.0 Release?

The 1.0 announcement highlights the pillars the full game is built around:

  • Build freedom: form your own class from two masteries, backed by class-specific loot
  • Smarter enemies: enemy factions that coordinate in combat rather than charging one at a time
  • A divine mount: Areion, the mythical horse, for getting around the handcrafted world
  • Difficulty rituals: optional ways to raise the challenge for veterans chasing better gear
  • A new soundtrack: traditional Greek instruments blended with modern orchestral music

A release date trailer accompanied the news, and it is well worth a watch if you enjoy seeing mythological beasts get thoroughly bonked.

Why the Console Launch Is a Big Deal

This time, PlayStation and Xbox players get Titan Quest II on the same day PC hits 1.0, complete with the polish that about 18 months of Early Access feedback brings. Controller-friendly action RPGs have become a console staple, so Grimlore's sequel is arriving in a genre console players already love. Console players pay $10 more than PC, which lines up with standard console pricing for the genre.

Is Titan Quest II Worth Waiting For?

If you enjoy loot-driven dungeon crawling, January 2027 is shaping up nicely. The game also joins a strong run for action RPG fans, with Wo Long 2 arriving in March 2027 and Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance keeping hunters busy in the meantime. PC players who cannot wait can jump into the Early Access build on Steam today and see how the mastery system has grown.
