Securitize Stocks on Solana: How 12 Tokenized Shares Work
Securitize Stocks launched with 12 tokenized US equities on Solana, including Apple and Nvidia, each backed 1:1 by a real share and settled in USDC.
Tokenized stocks took a concrete step forward this week. On October 8, 2026, Securitize launched Securitize Stocks, a set of 12 US equities that trade as tokens on Solana, each backed 1:1 by an underlying share. The launch list includes Apple, Microsoft and Nvidia, and trades settle in USDC through a registered broker-dealer.
- Launch date: October 8, 2026, announced by Securitize, Inc. (NYSE: SECZ).
- Tickers: AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, GOOG, TSLA, META, AMZN, NFLX, CRCL, SPCX, MSTR and PLTR.
- Structure: each token is backed 1:1 by a share and represents a security entitlement under UCC Article 8.
- Settlement: on Solana in USDC, during extended US market hours at launch, with 24/7 trading planned.
What Are Securitize Stocks?
Many earlier tokenized stock products gave holders price exposure through a wrapper. Securitize is using a different legal structure. According to the company's release, each token is a security entitlement, the same legal category that covers shares held in an ordinary brokerage account, and each is backed one-for-one by the underlying share.
In the US, the product is offered through Securitize Markets, LLC, a FINRA and SIPC member broker-dealer. In the EU, it is offered through Securitize Europe Brokerage and Markets, S.A. The release says holders receive dividends, and voting rights where the share class carries them, and that the underlying shares are not lent out.
Two points of fine print are worth knowing. Holders are not registered shareholders of the company unless they convert, which Securitize says is possible where an issuer adopts issuer-sponsored tokenization. And the listed companies have not sponsored or endorsed the product.
How Does Trading Work on Solana?
Trades run through Securitize's existing PropAMM on Solana, with Jump Trading acting as market maker to support liquidity and price discovery. Settlement is in USDC. Trading begins during extended US market hours, and the company says it plans to move toward 24/7 without giving a date.
Securitize Stocks sit alongside SECZ, the company's own tokenized share, which has traded on Solana since Securitize's NYSE debut in July. The firm reports about $5 billion in assets under management as of September 2026.
Who Can Buy Tokenized Stocks From Securitize?
The release says access is for eligible investors in the US, the EU and other permitted jurisdictions, subject to onboarding, identity checks and local securities law. It does not publish fees or minimums, so prospective users should read the platform's own disclosures.
What Comes Next for Tokenized Equities?
Several pieces are announced but not live. Securitize says it intends for the tokens to trade on the NYSE's planned 24/7 digital venue and on the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, and it is clear that neither venue has launched and that trading there depends on regulatory approval. We covered that venue's design in our piece on OKXICE's 24/7 tokenized stocks plan.
Lending is also future tense. Ripple Prime plans to support the launch and explore integration, and Aave is named for potential collateral uses, which the release frames as a goal.
Why This Launch Matters
The data point for market watchers is the structure. A regulated broker-dealer, real shares held one-for-one, stablecoin settlement and a named market maker bring tokenized equities closer to how traditional brokerage works, with faster settlement and longer hours. Decrypt's coverage highlights the same shift toward tokens that carry actual entitlements.
Adoption will depend on liquidity, the planned venues and clear eligibility rules, and those are measurable over the coming months. This is technology news, not investment advice. More in our crypto coverage.
