Radxa Linkr Packs a Full IP KVM Into a USB Stick

The $59 Radxa Linkr is a 70mm IP KVM with 2K HDMI capture, Wi-Fi 6, Tailscale support and a 1 TOPS NPU — remote BIOS access in a thumb-drive body.

Seventy Millimetres of Remote Console

Radxa has shrunk an IP KVM down to something you would mistake for a USB flash drive. The Linkr measures 70 x 22 x 12 mm, runs off 5V/2A over USB-C, and does the full job: HDMI capture in, keyboard and mouse emulation out, browser-based access from anywhere. CNX Software covered it on August 30, 2026, and Radxa lists it from $59.

Why Put an NPU in a KVM?

The RV1106G3 brings a fourth-generation 1 TOPS NPU with hybrid int4, int8 and int16 quantization. On paper that is an odd thing to find in a remote console, and it is fair to ask what it is for.

The answer is that a KVM already sits in the video path. Once you are decoding frames anyway, on-device inference gets you things that are awkward to do remotely — reading a screen state without shipping every frame over the network, spotting that a machine has dropped to a boot prompt, or driving the agent integrations Radxa lists in the firmware. The listing mentions OpenClaw and Hermes agent support alongside Tailscale and two-factor authentication, which tells you the intended user is running this unattended on a box in another building.

I would treat the agent features as bonus rather than reason-to-buy. The 1 TOPS figure is modest, and the interesting engineering here is the packaging.

What Do You Give Up at This Size?

Two things, and both are visible in the spec sheet. HDMI capture tops out at 2K/30Hz, so this is not the device for a workstation running a high-refresh 4K panel — for that tier, the Sipeed NanoKVM-Go with 4K USB-C capture is the closer match. And with 256MB of on-chip memory, this is a single-purpose appliance rather than something you will repurpose into a general Linux box.

Storage is optional 16GB eMMC plus a microSD slot, which is enough for firmware and a modest log buffer and not much else. That is the right call for the form factor.

Where the Linkr Sits in the IP KVM Field

The open-hardware corner of this category has been busy. We have covered USBridge-KVM 2.0 bringing BIOS access over SSH and the ESP-KVM turning an ESP32-P4 into a $45 IP KVM, and both make the case that remote console access no longer needs an enterprise BMC licence.

The Linkr's argument is portability. At 70mm with Wi-Fi 6 built in and Tailscale on the firmware, it is the one you throw in a bag before driving to a client site, or leave semi-permanently plugged into a machine at a relative's house. Radxa has been steadily filling out this end of the market — the same team shipped the AICore DX-M1M 25 TOPS M.2 module earlier this year — and this fits the pattern of small, specific, priced to buy two.

Stock is the open question. Every listed retailer showed the Linkr as unavailable when CNX ran its piece, which is normal for a Radxa launch week and usually resolves within a few weeks. Worth a watchlist entry if you keep tabs on mini computer and homelab hardware.
