God of War Laufey Pre-Orders: Editions and Bonuses Explained

God of War Laufey pre-orders open on September 29, 2026, and Santa Monica Studio has finally spelled out what comes in each edition. The PlayStation Blog post from the studio's communications director lays out a standard pre-order bonus, a Digital Deluxe Edition packed with Dark Alchemy gear, and a confirmed physical release, all ahead of the February 16, 2027 launch on PS5.

• Pre-orders begin September 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
• God of War Laufey launches on February 16, 2027 for PS5.
• Every pre-order includes the Last Wish Armor Set, a Golden Leaves look for Phranque and a resource pack.
• The Digital Deluxe Edition adds the Dark Alchemy gear set, a mini artbook and the soundtrack.

When do God of War Laufey pre-orders open?

Pre-orders go live on Tuesday, September 29, at 10:00 a.m. in your local time zone. That timing lands a little over four and a half months before launch; we covered the February 16, 2027 release date announcement when Sony first locked it in. Sony did not list prices in the post, so check the PlayStation Store when pre-orders open.

What does the God of War Laufey pre-order bonus include?

Anyone who pre-orders the standard edition gets three items:

• Last Wish Armor Set for Faye.
• Phranque Golden Leaves appearance, a cosmetic for the game's cube-shaped companion.
• An in-game resource pack to give early upgrades a head start.

Physical Standard Edition buyers are covered too. Santa Monica Studio says those bonuses arrive through a download code, so disc collectors do not miss out.

What is in the Digital Deluxe Edition?

The Digital Deluxe Edition leans into a darker look for Faye's gear. It includes:

• Dark Alchemy Armor Set
• Dark Alchemy Blade
• Dark Alchemy Bow Scales
• Dark Alchemy Catalyst
• A second in-game resource pack
• A digital mini artbook
• The official God of War Laufey digital soundtrack

VGC reports that the pre-order bonus applies to either the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition, so deluxe pre-orders pick up the Last Wish gear as well. For fans who loved the scores of the recent God of War games, the soundtrack alone is a nice extra.

Who is Faye, and what is the Everywhen?

God of War Laufey is the first mainline entry built around Faye rather than Kratos. The studio describes the setting as the Everywhen, the afterlife of the gods, and gives Faye the Serpent Bow, an enchanted weapon whose shifting serpent form supports both ranged shots and close-quarters combat. That hybrid weapon design suggests a combat style distinct from Kratos's axe and blades, and the Dark Alchemy cosmetics are built around it.

The game first took center stage at the June 2026 State of Play. With pre-orders open, the next beats to watch are pricing, a gameplay deep dive and any PS5 Pro enhancements. Keep up with every big release in our gaming coverage.
