Here is a milestone that tells you a lot about where tech spending is going. Foxconn, formally Hon Hai Precision Industry, reported on October 5, 2026 that its September sales crossed NT$1 trillion for the first time in the company's history. The world's biggest electronics manufacturer credited AI server demand, along with a strong iPhone launch month, and its third-quarter revenue came in well ahead of analyst expectations.

  • September sales: more than NT$1.15 trillion, up 38.42% from a year earlier and 25.70% from August.
  • Previous record: NT$837.1 billion, set in September 2025.
  • Third quarter: NT$3.03 trillion (about US$95.4 billion), up 47.12%, beating the LSEG SmartEstimate of NT$2.83 trillion.
  • First nine months: NT$7.67 trillion, up 39.53%.

What Drove Foxconn's Record September?

The company pointed to significant gains in cloud and networking products, which is where its AI server business sits, plus electronic components and computing products. Focus Taiwan reports that Apple's iPhone 18 launch also gave the smart consumer electronics division a meaningful lift in September. Focus Taiwan adds that Foxconn now holds more than 40% of the global AI server market.

That combination matters. Foxconn assembles the racks that hyperscalers fill with AI accelerators, so its monthly sales act as a near-real-time read on how fast data center buildouts are moving.

What Did Foxconn Say About the Fourth Quarter?

Management said AI-related operations are expected to keep growing in the fourth quarter, helped by the usual peak season for consumer electronics, according to Reuters reporting carried by The Star. The company did note it is watching the broader economic environment, which is a standard caution. Full third-quarter results, including profit figures, are due on November 12.

How Did Foxconn Stock React?

Shares rose 1.2% on the news, per The Star. Interestingly, the stock had gained about 10% year to date, well behind the broader Taiwan market. Revenue is not profit, and assembly margins are thin, so investors will be watching the November report closely to see how much of this growth reaches the bottom line.

What Does This Signal for AI Infrastructure Stocks?

Foxconn's record month lines up with what we have seen across the supply chain, from Micron's record fiscal Q4 to Jabil's AI-driven guidance. The AI buildout is showing up not only in chip designers' results but also in the companies that physically assemble the hardware. Follow more market stories in our stock trading section.
