World of Warcraft Midnight Early Access Goes Live Today — And It Finally Brings Player Housing
WoW’s latest expansion launches early access today with four new zones, level cap 90, and the Player Housing feature fans requested for 22 years.
Twenty-two years. That is how long World of Warcraft players have been asking for Player Housing. Today, at 3:00 PM PST, it finally arrives.
WoW Midnight Is Here
World of Warcraft: Midnight, the latest expansion in the Worldsoul Saga, begins its early access period today for Epic Edition owners, with the full worldwide launch following on March 2. This is the expansion that takes players into the heart of Quel’Thalas and the shadowy realms beyond, raising the level cap to 90 and introducing four brand-new zones to explore.
But let us be honest — everyone is here for the houses.
Player Housing After Two Decades
Player Housing is the single most requested feature in WoW’s history. Every expansion announcement for the past decade has sparked the same question from fans: is this the one where we get housing? And every time, the answer was no. Until now.
Midnight’s housing system lets players claim and customize their own personal space within the game world. Details from the beta suggest a robust system with furniture crafting, trophy displays for raid achievements, and the ability to invite friends to visit. It is not just a cosmetic feature — it gives players a persistent home base that reflects their journey through Azeroth.
What Else Is New in the Expansion
Beyond housing, Midnight brings a new Devourer Demon Hunter specialization that channels Void powers — a fascinating lore twist for a class that has traditionally drawn from fel energy. The four new zones span sun-drenched elven forests, underground caverns, and corrupted shadowlands, offering the visual variety that WoW expansions are known for.
The expansion also continues the Worldsoul Saga storyline that began with The War Within, advancing what Blizzard has described as the most ambitious narrative arc in the game’s history.
How to Access Early Today
Early access is available to anyone who purchased the Epic Edition of Midnight. Servers go live at 3:00 PM PST, 6:00 PM EST, and 11:00 PM GMT on February 26. The standard edition launches with the full worldwide release on March 2.
Whether you are a returning veteran who has been waiting two decades for this moment or a newer player curious about what all the fuss is about, Midnight looks like WoW at its most ambitious. Welcome home.
