When Does the Steam Autumn Sale End?

How to Get the Most From the Autumn Sale

A little strategy goes a long way when your wishlist is longer than a Final Fantasy credit roll:

• Check your wishlist first. Steam flags discounted wishlist items, which is the fastest way to spot a deal you actually want.
• Browse by genre. This year's sale groups discounts by category, handy if you are in the mood for a cozy sim or a brutal boss rush.
• Read the hidden gems lists. PC Gamer's writers published their own list of underappreciated picks in the sale, a great way to find something new.
• Mind the refund window. Steam lets you refund most games within 14 days if you have played less than two hours.

Why Seasonal Steam Sales Matter for PC Gaming

Big seasonal sales are how a lot of players finally try the games they missed at launch. They also give smaller titles a spotlight next to the blockbusters, much like Steam Next Fest does for demos. If your backlog was looking thin, this week fixes that. Catch more deals and releases in our gaming section.
