Robinhood HOOD Summit 2026: AI Agents, Perps and 24/7 Stocks
Robinhood's HOOD Summit 2026 unveiled AI Agents, crypto perpetual futures and 24/7 weekend stock trading. Here's what's coming and the safety defaults.
Robinhood used its HOOD Summit in Houston on September 29, 2026, to unveil its biggest batch of trading tools yet: AI agents that can research and trade for you, crypto perpetual futures, around-the-clock weekend stock trading and a set of upgrades for active traders. Here is what is coming and when, in plain English.
- Robinhood Agents are AI agents that analyze markets, build strategies and trade from a dedicated agentic account, with manual trade approval on by default.
- Perpetual futures on eight cryptocurrencies are coming in the coming months, with a 1 basis point fee through 2026.
- 24/7 weekend trading for select US stocks and ETFs is coming, pending regulatory review.
- Extended options hours, 4x intraday margin and OCO orders for stocks are set for October 2026.
How Do Robinhood Agents Work?
You name an agent, open a dedicated agentic account for it and pick an AI model. The agent can then research markets, build strategies and place trades within the limits you set. Robinhood says manual approval of every trade is switched on by default, and agents can only use funds in that separate account. GPT-Luna usage is free through the end of 2026, and a feature called Loops, for standing instructions that run around the clock, is coming soon.
Alongside it, Agent Apps will offer premium data from providers like Unusual Whales, Nasdaq, SpotGamma and Quiver Quantitative for $5 to $30 a month, each with a one-month free trial. It builds on the agentic trading beta Robinhood launched earlier this year.
What Are Robinhood's New Perpetual Futures?
Perpetual futures are derivatives with no expiry date. Robinhood's will cover BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK and HYPE, offered through Robinhood Derivatives with Bitstamp. Leverage goes up to 10x on Bitcoin and Ether and 3x on the others. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains, so these are tools for experienced traders, and they will roll out to eligible US customers over the coming months.
When Does 24/7 Stock Trading Arrive?
Robinhood already runs a 24 Hour Market on weekdays. The new plan extends trading in select US stocks and ETFs through weekends, powered by Bruce ATS, and is pending regulatory review, so no firm date yet. CoinDesk framed the whole package as a push to win over active traders.
Other upgrades arriving in October include options trading from 7:30am to 4:15pm ET, a 35% longer window, plus 4x intraday margin for eligible customers and one-cancels-the-other orders for stocks. Earnings contracts, binary contracts on company results listed on Cboe, are rolling out in the coming weeks with zero fees through 2026.
What Does HOOD Summit Mean for Everyday Investors?
The theme is giving retail users tools that used to belong to professional desks. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the company is delivering tools once reserved for hedge funds, big banks and quant firms. The sensible move is to start small: keep manual approval on, understand leverage before using it, and treat agents as assistants rather than autopilots. This is not investment advice.
