Minix Unveils Six New Mini PCs With Up to 180 TOPS of AI Compute

From 36-watt office boxes to 180 TOPS AI workstations, Minix’s 2026 mini PC lineup spans every tier of the local AI computing spectrum.

Minix, the brand that built its reputation on compact media players and ultra-small PCs, is making a decisive push into AI-capable hardware. The company announced six new mini PC models on February 25, covering everything from energy-sipping office machines to full-blown AI workstations with up to 180 TOPS of neural processing throughput.

The Flagship Models Pack Serious AI Muscle

The EU736-AI headlines the lineup with an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor delivering 180 TOPS of combined AI performance across its CPU, GPU, and dedicated NPU. That figure places it among the most capable mini PCs for local AI inference currently announced. It supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, dual M.2 NVMe slots, and WiFi 7 connectivity.

For users in the AMD camp, the ER939-AI Pro runs the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory and 126 TOPS of AI compute — the same Strix Halo platform that is enabling large language model inference on the desktop. A third AI-focused model, the EU928-AI, targets business deployments with an Intel Core Ultra 9 and 99 TOPS.

Compact Models for Everyday Use

Not every user needs triple-digit TOPS. Minix also announced three compact models for general productivity. The NR660 LP runs an AMD Ryzen 5 7640U at just 36 watts, making it one of the most power-efficient mini PCs in its class. The NUC300 offers a Celeron-based entry point for digital signage and thin-client deployments, and the NEO Z95 provides a balanced mid-range option.

All six models include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB4, and multiple display outputs — modern connectivity across the entire lineup.

AI Compute Goes Mainstream Across Every Price Tier

What makes this announcement notable is not any single model but the breadth of the lineup. Minix is signaling that AI processing capability is no longer a premium-only feature — it belongs at every price point and use case. When even a compact office mini PC ships with NPU hardware, the industry has clearly crossed a threshold.

The three AI-focused models are expected to ship in March and April 2026, with the compact NR660 LP, NUC300, and NEO Z95 available now.
