Gears of War: E-Day arrives on PC on October 6, 2026, and the final system requirements, first reported on September 17, give a clear picture of what it takes to run it. The short version: a ray-tracing-capable graphics card is mandatory, and you should clear 115GB of SSD space.

  • Release date on PC: October 6, 2026.
  • Storage: 115GB free, with an SSD recommended.
  • A GPU with hardware ray tracing support is required.
  • Supported upscalers are NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 4 and Intel XeSS 3.

What are the minimum PC requirements?

The minimum tier targets 1080p at 60fps on Medium settings with an upscaler. It lists a Ryzen 5 2600X, Core i7-6850K or Core i5-10400 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a GPU such as the RTX 5050, RTX 2060, RX 6600, RX 9060 or Intel Arc A580.

What do you need for 1440p?

The recommended tier aims for 1440p at 60fps on High with an upscaler. It lists a Ryzen 5 5600 or Core i5-11600K, 16GB of RAM, and a card such as the RTX 5060, RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT, RX 9060 XT or Arc B580.

What does Ultra at 4K require?

The Ultra tier targets 4K at 60fps with an upscaler. It lists a Core i5-14700K or Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 16GB of RAM, and an RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900 XT.

Why does the game need ray tracing?

The game uses Unreal Engine 5 with hardware ray tracing for reflections, shadows and global illumination, which is why older cards without that hardware cannot run it. Upscaler support from all three GPU vendors means most gamers should find a workable setting.
